Blake Hall

Blake Hall has been a contributor to ROTG for ten years and took over as editor in January 2009. Before writing for ROTG, he was previously the editor of the now defunct Argyle fanzine Hoof!, which lasted for eight issues in the late '90s.

Born in November 1975 (but if anyone asks, say 1985), Blake regards himself as something of a football statto and has watched football in many parts of the world (this picture was taken at an African Champions' League match in The Gambia).  He also plays the guitar and keyboard and once got to the final of a national competition for pop bands! He has a real passion for comedy, travel and music of all forms, clinging on to the experimental electronic sound of the late 70s / early 80s!

Blake does a mean Alan Hansen impression which is believed to be more like Alan Hansen than Alan Hansen himself (ask him to do it when he sells ROTG) and, for far too long, has been halfway through writing a supernatural novel about Cornish Wreckers. His ambition is to finish the novel whilst recording an album of his songs, but that doesn't look realistic whilst trying to hold down a full-time job as well as sorting ROTG, which Blake describes as a "labour of love".

He lives in Hampshire with his patient partner, Lyndsey, and has a beautiful 10-year-old daughter called Alex (who sadly has no interest in football, only horses!)
